Jtran’s 2002 Lexus Is300

Started out as a bone stock Lexus. The first thing to be modified was the suspension. Wanting a comfortable daily driver, Jtran got a set of Zeal Coilovers for an excellent deal. After sorting out the stance he went straight to the rollers. Not liking the offset of the factory 17″ alloys, he got a set of Work Emotion 11r in a staggered set up. Measuring 18×8.5 up front and 18×9.5 in the back. The Is300 wears a Greddy style front lip paired with TRD side skirts and rear valance. A VIS carbon fiber hood sits where the factory steel hood once was, 3M carbon wrap was applied to the roof to make the car flow.

Jtran loves his music, so the guys down at Speed Of Sound in Victoria revamped the Stereo. Running the tunes is the Alpine 900bt in dash monitor, for speakers they went with alpine components up front and 6×9’s in the back. A single 12″ Alpine type R sub woofer provides the bass from underneath the floor of the trunk. A pair of Alpine Amps and a farad cap power the speakers. For piece of mind the Speed Of Sound Crew installed a Compustar Alarm system that was upgraded with the Drone module, so Jtran can start and monitor his car from his smart phone.

Whats Next?

Jtran Is still up in the air about the future of his Lexus. Turbo charging is still one of the options, so don’t be surprised in the future if you see this car with a front mount intercooler !
